Canadian National Team Experience
I’ve competed for the Canadian National team since age group national teams from U15-U19 competing in some amazing countries like Serbia, Croatia, Turkey, Jamaica, USA, and Canada. Aleksa and I competed as teammates at the U19 Pan American games in Edmonton where we won gold. I joined the National Team Training center in 2014 before leaving for University down south. I continued with the National Team after University from 2021-2023 competing at the Pan American Games in Santiago Chile to finish things off.

What is your favourite song to listen to prior to competing?
I’ve never liked to listen to music before a game! I think about the game plan, try to relax, and loosen up before the game.
What is your favourite movie about sports?
Coach Carter or Miracle!
What age did you start to play water polo?
I started playing at 8 years old!
What water polo clubs did you play for?
I’ve played for quite a few now but here in Calgary I started out with Calgary Seawolves and then into the Calgary Torpedoes. I’ve also played for various club teams in the US and for KPK Korčula in Croatia!
What mental tool do you use under pressure?
One of my first coaches taught me a few tricks but the most helpful I found is to take a breath, think back to all the hard work you put in throughout the year to lay your foundation, and then trust yourself!
